Positive Professionals is a social group for gay men who are HIV positive and living in the Long Beach/South Bay/Los Angeles/Orange County area. ONE is a grassroots advocacy and campaigning organization that fights extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa, by raising public awareness and pressuring political leaders to support smart and effective policies and programs that are saving lives, helping to put kids in school and improving futures. Cofounded by Bono and other campaigners, ONE is nonpartisan and works closely with African activists and policy makers.

This group came to me as a way for those in the community find one another in a safe place where no judgement would be passed. It is hard enough to be single in San Diego gay community. Living with HIV is no longer as much of a burden as our brothers experienced just less than a generation ago. However, finding guys who are not afraid to date a man with HIV is still difficult.
